Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.
In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.
Tweetable Logline: The Jasons, a small time comedy duo are followed by a camera crew as they embark on a cross country comedy tour. It’s a disaster.
Elevator Pitch: Lifelong best friends and comedy duo, The Jasons, are followed by a
camera crew as they embark on their first cross country comedy tour.
Instead of bringing their careers to the next level, they get lost in
the middle of the dessert, cause a talk show host to quit her job on
air, ruin a sorority party, get kicked out of a nursing home and
accidentally set fire to a small New York City theater. It’s a story
about big dreamers who bite off far more than they can chew — then choke
on it for a bit.

About the Film: I (Jason Blackman) have been best friends with Jason Bader and Brett
Meiselas since our freshman year in high school. We’ve been making
comedy together ever since, and this is by far our most
ambitious project. What we love so much about this story is that we’re
playing versions of ourselves. That allows us to go into the archives
and use footage and photographs from our childhood. This alone will give
our movie a really unique feel. We’re so excited and hope that we get
support from the filmmaking community to help out!
Current Status: We’re trying to raise $40,000 on Kickstarter. So far we’ve raise $13,332 and have until May 18th to raise the rest!
