Mark and Jay Duplass’ production banner has closed a multi-picture distribution deal with the independent film distributor The Orchard. Under the terms of the deal, The Orchard will take worldwide theatrical and ancillary rights to seven upcoming feature films produced by the duo. All seven films are a part of the exclusive SVOD Netflix partnership that Duplass Brothers Productions inked in January, which includes a four-picture deal for the new titles.

The first film to receive a release as part of the new deal is the horror comedy “Creep,” which hits iTunes exclusively Tuesday, June 23. In addition to producing “Creep,” Mark Duplass co-stars alongside the film’s director, Patrick Brice, who also directed “The Overnight.”
“We couldn’t have asked for a better working relationship with Jay and Mark on “The Overnight” — they have been amazing collaborators who share our passion for telling compelling stories, fostering new talent and finding disruptive new ways to reach audiences,” said Paul Davidson, SVP of Film & TV at The Orchard. “Needless to say, we are pumped to expand our partnership with them on this great slate of exciting new films.”
Other titles slated for distribution under The Orchard-Duplass deal include: Hannah Fidell’s “Six Years,” which stars Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield; J. Davis’ “Manson Family Vacation,” starring Jay Duplass and Linas Phillips; plus four upcoming features that will be produced by Mel Eslyn for Duplass Brothers Productions.
