Maya Rudolph Mocks Rachel Dolezal on ‘Late Night’

Maya Rudolph Mocks Rachel Dolezal on 'Late Night'

Last night, Maya Rudolph was a guest on her former “Saturday Night Live” co-star Seth Myers’ late night talk-show, and revisited previous SNL co-star Tina Fey’s memorable Sarah Palin impersonation, adding that, since the Rachel Dolezal scandal broke, she’s been receiving lots of “if only” remarks from friends and fans, wishing she was still on “Saturday Night Live” so that she could play Dolezal on SNL, and be just as memorable as Fey was with Palin.

It’s likely not going to happen; unless she’s scheduled to host an upcoming episode of the comedy sketch show, since she left the cast several years ago.

But, if only to give fans a tease of what could’ve been, Rudolph and host Myers performed an impromptu Dolezal Q&A sketch, with Rudolph as the beleaguered “transracial” former head of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP, and Myers playing a reporter inquiring about her racial make-up.
