Last week, some new images appeared for “Ant-Man,” along with a bit of chatter that a couple Marvel Cinematic Universe characters might be popping up. And today comes even more images—including a couple higher resolution versions of what you saw before—and even more rumors about connective tissue between “Ant-Man” and the rest of the Marvel-verse.
Latino Review reports that “Ant-Man” will feature more than a few references to Spider-Man, basically laying down the groundwork for the character’s appearance in the currently shooting “Captain America: Civil War,” due for release next summer. The site speculates that Corey Stoll‘s businessman baddie Darren Cross might try and make Oscorp one of his clients for his weapons technology. And well, the rest basically writes itself. As for Spider-Man, Marvel is still testing actors with an announcement supposedly coming soon.
“Ant-Man” opens on July 17th. Check out an international TV spot below.
