SeriesFest: Season One Announces Programming, TV Pilot Competition Selections

SeriesFest: Season One, an international television and content festival in its first year, has released its preliminary programming and panels, and has also announced the official selections of its Independent TV Pilot Competition. The festival will take place in Denver, Colorado from June 18-21.

The festival will present pre-premiere preview screenings of an impressive list of upcoming shows, including ABC’s “Quantico,” HBO’s “SexOn//,” AMC’s “Humans,” FX’s “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll,” and BBC Four’s “Detectorists,” along with several others. Many of the screenings will be followed by a panel in some form — including a Skype Q&A with “Quantico” executive producer Josh Safran, a conversation with the cast members on “Humans,” and more.

With the goal of establishing program diversity in the realm of emerging television, SeriesFest will screen both upcoming shows plus pieces by emerging and established directors. In addition to the pre-premiere screenings and interactive panels, SeriesFest will screen the 26 titles vying for “Best Pilot” in the festival’s Independent TV Pilot Competition. The competition features pilots by both new and experienced creators, from John Glover to Rachel Dratch to Keith Powell.
