Watch: Everything Has Changed In New Clips From 'Terminator Genisys'

Can the Terminator live again as a reinvigorated franchise? Paramount is certainly crossing their fingers that the retconned “Terminator Genisys” can bring the time-traveling sci-fi series some fresh legs, but first it’ll have to sell audiences on the revamped world, which this first clip introduces us too.

As you’ll quickly learn, things have changed in 1984, with Emilia Clarke‘s Sarah Connor now total buds with Arnie’s T-800, though Jai Courtney‘s Kyle Reese has trouble believing it. And when he tries to take down The Terminator, things don’t work out as planned. Let’s just hope the final movie isn’t all character explaining how everything is different this time around. But hey, Arnie’s deadpan delivery is still as good as ever. Meanwhile, there’s a T-1000 attack in a second clip from the movie.
