Katherine Heigl and Ben Barnes star as musically-inclined lovers in the new trailer for Ami Canaan Mann’s “Jackie & Ben.” The film marks the duo’s first feature together since playing brother and sister in 2013’s ensemble rom-com, “The Big Wedding.”
“Jackie & Ryan” stars Heigl as Jackie Laurel, a former singer seeking independence from her marriage. Barnes plays Ryan Brenner, a traveling musician trying to find the courage to write music of his own. After an unexpected car accident brings the two together in Ogden, Utah, they turn to each other during their hardships. When Jackie’s estranged husband threatens to take custody of their daughter and Ryan’s musician mentor dies in a train accident, the two connect through music and form a relationship that might change their lives.
