PBS’ digital series “Blank on Blank” recently dug up a seemingly lost Dustin Hoffman interview, which previously aired on WBAI and came from Pacifica Radio Archives, and provided a short animated clip to encompass the highlights.

The visuals supplement Hoffman’s wide range of topics, covering acting, growing up, gangs, sexual revolutions and drugs. In a peaceful voice, Hoffman shares his wisdom. He sheds a different light on what it is like to be famous, including tidbits about terrifying incidents and even the accidental origin of his famous lines as Ratso Rizzo in “Midnight Cowboy”: “I’m walkin’ here! I’m walkin’ here!”

“Blank on Blank” has previously featured animated interviews from Heath Ledger and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Watch and listen to the entertaining and enlightening Dustin Hoffman in the clip above.
