Other than plenty of cars and the liberal use of the word ‘mad,’ George Miller’s action epic “Mad Max: Fury Road” and Stanley Kramer’s classic comedy “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” have little in common. Nevertheless, Ezequiel López used his editing skills to create a bizarre yet extremely entertaining trailer for the mashup of the two: “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad Max Fury Road.”
Using audio from a “Max” trailer and footage from “World,” López was able to match the disparate works impressively. Audio and visuals line up in hysterical fashion, making for what would be a strange yet engrossing feature length film. One can only hope that in the world of desert wastelands and comic rat races Valhalla lay just down the road, all shiny and chrome.
