Watch: Honest Trailer For 'Iron Man,' Marvel's Massive Success Turned Into A Formula For Printing Money

The San Diego Comic Con arrives this weekend, and as Slashfilm fondly recollects, it was back in 2007 when Marvel showed up and surprised fans with a full length trailer for “Iron Man.” The following spring, the studio would release the movie, kicking an unstoppable franchise machine into gear, and Screen Junkies is celebrating this event with their latest Honest Trailer.

The site takes aim at the Jon Favreau directed movie, and in particular how it became the template for many Marvel movies to come —even the most devoted fan of those movies can’t deny that the studio has rehashed story and character elements across multiple films.
