READ MORE: Watch: Here’s Proof Benedict Cumberbatch is (Almost) As Smart as Alan Turing
The much-anticipated special episode of “Sherlock,” to be broadcast during the holidays this year, has a first look clip courtesy of Thursday’s Comic-Con panel and presentation.
The short clip provides somewhat of an introduction: Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) returns with Watson (Martin Freeman) to a snowy, horse-drawn carriage-filled Baker Street after solving a crime and catching a murderer (or part of one). Although the clip doesn’t reveal much in the way of plot, the Victorian-era special definitely promises to be filled with all the suspense, action, and snappy lines as its regular-season counterparts. But this time, set far in the past.
Watch the clip above, and check out a first look image tweeted out by the BBC below. No specific release date has been set, but the episode will air in late 2015.
