After ending his wildly successful FX series “Sons of Anarchy,” Kurt Sutter is bringing a whole new drama series to FX: “The Bastard Executioner.” The series will focus on a warrior knight during King Edward III’s rule who tries to give up violence, but is sucked back into commotion and fighting despite his resistance.
FX has released two new promos for the series, in addition to the series trailer that premiered at Comic Con. Check them out below:
In what initially seems like a church, a man kneels before a symbol, sword in hand. As we quickly see, he’s kneeling before a symbol of a sword while surrounded by other weapons, meaning that there’s more sinister things going on than it seems.
As a man uses a scythe to cut down crops, we quickly see a foreshadowing of the battles to come.
“Vengeance” First Trailer
In the first full trailer of the series, it’s easy to see that while, the executioner’s intentions are good, danger always lurks around the corner.
