Fresh off his crusade against Scientology in the acclaimed documentary, “Going Clear,” filmmaker Alex Gibney is turning his attention to a similarly mythic subject in his next cinematic investigation: Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
In the new trailer for the upcoming “Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine,” Gibney showcases the contrasting perspectives toward the late computer pioneer. The trailer provides a first look into Gibney’s exploration of the genius and ruthlessness laced within Jobs’ rise to prominence in what looks to be a documentary hoping to shed light on why the man seemed to be as despised as he was admired.
“Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine” hits theaters and VOD on September 4. Watch the trailer above, via Mashable.
