British Academy Awards 2016 Timeline

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts annual awards ceremony–the BAFTAs– will take place on Sunday February 14, 2016 at The Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden. It’s a short, sweet, entertaining awards show and a big step on the road to the Oscars, as the overlap between BAFTA members and Academy voters is approximately 1000, according to several veteran Oscar campaigners.

Check out this list of 11 actors and 13 actresses who have won all five key awards: Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA, Critics Choice and Oscar. Only Daniel Day Lewis has accomplished this feat twice.

Monday November 9 –Entry deadline
Wednesday December 9– Round One voting opens
Thursday December 17 – Qualified films must screen to BAFTA members before this date
Monday January 4 – Round One voting closes (12.00 GMT)
Wednesday January 6 – EE Rising Star Award Nominations Announcement
Friday January 8 – Nominations Announcement; Round Two voting opens
Wednesday February 10 – Round Two voting closes (18.00 GMT)
Friday February 12 – Latest date for entered films to have been on general release
Sunday February 14 – EE British Academy Film Awards
