Idris Elba stars in the Cary Fukunaga (“Sin Nombre,” “Jane Eyre,” “True Detective“) directed movie, based on the novel by Uzodinma Iweala, that takes viewers into the world child soldiers, and the ruthless leaders who watch over them. Here’s the official logline: After his parents are killed, a young African boy is forced to become a child soldier in a rebel army led by a brutal commandant.
