Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard are Shakespearean Stunners in ‘Macbeth’ Character Portraits

Although cinephiles are patiently awaiting the news of an official theatrical U.S. release date, the gorgeous marketing for Justin Kurzel’s “Macbeth” continues with a pair of character portraits highlighting stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.

“The Snowtown Murders” director premiered his dramatic reimagining of the Shakespeare story at Cannes to critical acclaim, and the visually striking debut trailer that dropped at the beginning of the summer brought anticipation for the movie to a fever pitch.

The Weinstein Company plans to release the adaptation sometime before the end of the year, though here’s hoping it is sooner rather than later. Check out the portraits below, courtesy of Empire.
