A new cocaine-clouded teaser for “Vinyl” has arrived, filled with all the guitar-smashing, ear-splitting, crowd-stopping antics you’d expect from an HBO series about the rise of punk, disco and hip hop in New York.
From the exciting trio of Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter, “Vinyl” will be a 10-episode series chronicling the life of a 1970s record label president (played by Bobby Cannavale). Faced with the task of keeping his company alive, Cannavale’s character attempts to keep his label afloat within a rapidly-changing industry — of course, not without all of the sex, drugs, and rock and roll to be found in the music scene of ’70s New York. The show’s cast also includes Olivia Wilde and Ray Romano.
