John Wells’ drama “Burnt” has been a giant question mark for over a year now. Despite the involvement of screenwriter Steven Knight (“Locke”) and a stacked ensemble cast, including Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl and Uma Thurman, it appeared the drama wasn’t coming together as expected after numerous title changes (first “Chef,” then “Adam Jones”) and release date shifts. Fortunately, the official trailer above is quite the unexpected treat.

Cooper stars as Adam Jones, a Paris chef whose bad habits and out-of-control behavior cost him his lauded restaurant. After cleaning up and returning to Paris sober, Jones tries to redeem himself by launching a new restaurant and trying to gain three Michelin stars, one of the biggest honors in the business.

With some exciting editing and delicious visuals, plus Cooper in antsy redemption mode, it looks like “Burnt” could be one of the bigger surprises of the fall season. Watch the trailer above, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.
