The shooting of Ferguson, Missouri native Michael Brown undoubtedly caused controversy and called police procedures into question. Many people questioned what actually happened on the day of Brown’s death, and there are still many lingering questions about the shooting.
The New York Times, as a part of their Op-Doc series, has released “Verbatim: The Ferguson Case,” which reenacts the legal transcript of testimonies in the Ferguson case, word for word. In a gut-wrenching fashion, the video juxtaposes Officer Darren Wilson and witness Dorian Johnson’s testimonies, which show clear discrepancies. None of the words have been edited, but some comments were condensed to allow for the 16-minute video.
“Orange is the New Black” actress Uzo Aduba is shown questioning both of the witnesses.
