“Tomorrow We Disappear,” a moving documentary about the loss of artistry and New Delhi culture in the face of gentrification, now has an exclusive trailer.
In the hidden alleys of a neighborhood in New Delhi, a thriving colony is home to a collection of uniquely talented artists and performers. The film chronicles the last surviving days of that colony, called Kathputli, and the intense and emotional battle that its residents endured to keep their homes alive. The colony — filled with acrobats, magicians, puppeteers, crafters and performers — is an emblem of almost-lost art, and the artists themselves fight back against displacement using their art as a tool.
The documentary will be released on iTunes and digital VOD on August 25.
