Not just a prolific filmmaker, South Korean director Hong Sang-Soo rarely makes a picture not worth seeing. And his latest, “Right Now, Wrong Then,” is riding into its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival with some laurels around its neck already. The film recently picked up the coveted Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival, so there’s no better time to check out the new trailer for the movie that could make some buzz as the fall festival season heats up.

Starring Jung Jaeyoung and Kim Minhee, the film is another low key movie from the Sang-Soo, this time centering on the romance that blooms between a filmmaker and a painter, with whom he has a chance encounter. Sounds like in the tenor one can expect from the director, and it’s one we’ll be putting on our growing list of must-see movies for TIFF.
No U.S. distribution yet for the “Right Now, Wrong Then” but if it keeps picking up accolades, that situation will likely change. Watch below. [Cine Maldito]
