Surely to make superhero movie geeks drool, here are your starting lineups for the teams that will do battle in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War,” which picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as “Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.”
Our friends at Comicbookmovie.com got an exclusive look at that “fracture” via a set of images showing which group of Avengers will take sides with Captain America, and which will roll with Iron Man. A couple of the images are embedded below.
Riddle me this folks: given the order in which each group is arranged, are we to assume that characters in one slot on one side, will go up against the character on the other side that’s in the same slot? For example, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) opposite Falcon (Anthony Mackie), or War Machine (Don Cheadle) opposite Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)…
