The Film Society of Lincoln Center will host a discussion with Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet on October 6 during the 53rd New York Film Festival. The event will make up one of the festival’s “An Evening With…” programs.
The evening will include dinner and an intimate conversation between the actress and NYFF Director Kent Jones. Winslet will also be attending the festival on October 3 for the Centerpiece Gala screening of Danny Boyle’s “Steve Jobs,” where she stars opposite Michael Fassbender.
The Film Society’s “An Evening With…” program recognizes the work of individuals who have made significant artistic contributions to film culture and will continue to do so in the future. Past participants include Pedro Almodóvar, David Cronenberg, Nicole Kidman, Richard Peña, Cate Blanchett, Ralph Fiennes, and last year’s guests Ethan Hawke and Richard Gere. All proceeds benefit the Film Society, helping to support the organization’s ongoing work in education, artist development and cross-cultural film outreach.
The dinner will take place in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center. Visit the New York Film Festival’s website for more information.
