The diversity-focused Bentonville Film Festival has announced official release dates and locations for three winners of its first-ever outing — “In My Father’s House,” “Thao’s Library” and “Jack of the Red Hearts” — as part of the fledgling festival’s unique awards package. In its first year, the BFF guaranteed distribution deals for each of its three winners through ARC Entertainment and AMC Theatres’ AMC Independent locations.

partnership with the Bentonville Film Festival is a perfect complement to our
AMC Independent programming initiative, which delivers unique stories and
voices that represent and resonate with our diverse guest base around the
country,” said Nikkole Denson-Randolph, vice president of Alternative &
Special Content for AMC. “We’re excited and proud to deliver these powerful
stories to our guests and to provide a platform for women and minority filmmakers.”

The Symposium tour will kick-off on October 9 with Documentary winner “In My Father’s House,” which will be released through AMC locations in 20 markets across the country. BFF will hold panel discussions in Atlanta and NYC with Emmy nominated directors Ricki Stern
and Annie Sundberg, as well as Grammy and Academy Award winning writer and
artist Che “Rhymefest’ Smith, the subject of the film.

BFF Audience Award Winner “Thao’s Library” will be released on October 16 at AMC
locations in 20 markets. Panel discussions will be held in San Diego, Los
Angeles and San Francisco with filmmaker Elizabeth Van Meter.
