Ronda Rousey To Lead ‘Road House’ Reboot

Ronda Rousey To Lead 'Road House' Reboot

There were plenty of reasons to dislike “Entourage,” but one of them was not Ronda Rousey. The MMA fighter, who is turning to acting, was charming as the far-too-good-for-him love interest of Turtle, in the only barely tolerable plot thread of the otherwise tedious movie. She’s got presence, timing, and of course, can put you on the mat in two seconds. Which makes this next move make all that much more sense.

Like it or not, that “Road House” remake is still happening, but the twist? Rousey will take over Patrick Swayze‘s role, and hey, that’s a nice little twist. But beyond Rousey, the project is still in early stages, with screenwriters still being sought to weave the new tale of a bar bouncer who helps clean up a small town, and there’s no director attached yet either. However, a 2016 shoot is still being eyed.

And Rousey has a busy film slate coming up, in addition to her MMA bouts, with production beginning on Peter Berg‘s “Mile 22” in February and handful of other movies on her slate. But what do you think? Can you roll with Rousey in “Road House”?
