Logline: At the U.N. Climate Talks in Paris this December, follow seven grassroots activists as they awaken the only true force that can prevent catastrophic climate change: the will of the people.
Chicken Little was right. The sky is falling. The oceans are rising. Mass extinctions are happening. Furthermore, what was seen as just an environmental disaster is now recognized as a humanitarian crisis.
“Not Without Us” follows seven grassroots activists from around the world as they head to Paris for the 21st session of United Nations Climate Change Conference.
The two weeks of the U.N. Conference will be a pivotal moment. A built-in narrative arc that will either end in a celebratory triumph, or a call to arms. An event to be experienced through our characters, unscripted and worthy of documenting.

About the Film:
While we always considered ourselves environmentalists, attending the 2011 World Social Forum in Dakar, Senegal changed us. When we met grassroots activists from frontline communities (many of whom are now characters in the film) our eyes and minds were opened to the social justice aspect of the movement. The realization that economic systems are driven by fossil fuels shed light on the the interconnected nature of environmental degradation, social injustice and economic inequality.
As climate change looms, we are desperately in need of an alternative vision. We want to help shape that vision, and inspire people to take action.
Current Status: We’re currently in production. Our Indiegogo campaign is focused on fundraising money to get us to Paris for the U.N. Climate Talks this December.
