Steve Harvey Inks Overall Production Deal w/ Endemol to Develop Scripted & Unscripted Programming

Steve Harvey has inked an overall production deal with Endemol Shine North America, it was announced today by Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin, Co-Chairmen and Co-CEOs of Endemol Shine North America.

The deal calls for Endemol Shine and Harvey’s East 112th Street Productions to develop original unscripted, scripted and digital programming together. East 112th Street Productions is now based at Endemol Shine North America’s Los Angeles office. Gerald Washington serves as President, East 112th Street Productions, and Donna-Marie Reid is Director of Development.

“We are thrilled to be extending our relationship with Steve Harvey, arguably the hottest personality in TV right now,” says Endemol Shine North America’s Abrego and Corwin. “We’ve enjoyed a great relationship with him on our hit, Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show for several years now and we’re excited to explore new programming opportunities with Steve and his team at East 112th Street across a wide variety of platforms and genres.”

In addition to hosting his eponymous daytime show, Harvey is also at the helm of the long-running syndicated game show, “Family Feud” and its ABC primetime counterpart, “Celebrity Family Feud,” where both Harvey and Washington serve as executive producers. Harvey is also the host of the #1 rated nationally syndicated morning radio show, “Steve Harvey Morning Show,” which attracts approximately 7 million listeners each week. And Harvey is set to collaborate with executive producer Ellen DeGeneres as host and executive producer of “Little Big Shots,” airing on NBC primetime in 2016.

His first book “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” was released in 2009 and became an international bestseller, selling more than 3 million copies around the world and spending 64 weeks on the prestigious New York Times Best Seller list. In December 2010, Harvey’s follow up, “Straight Talk, No Chaser: How to Find, Keep, and Understand a Man,” debuted at #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list. The hit film based on Harvey’s book, “Think Like A Man,” starring Taraji P. Henson and Kevin Hart, debuted in 2012 as the #1 movie in America and grossed $33.6 million its opening week.

Harvey’s latest book, “Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success” (2014) debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, staying on for 10 weeks and has already sold a half a million copies worldwide.
