READ MORE: Watch: There’s Something Wrong With Olivia Wilde in ‘Meadowland’ Trailer
Olivia Wilde is at her most unhinged in an exclusive clip from Reed Morano’s psychological drama “Meadowland.” The movie screened at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year and co-stars Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi and Elisabeth Moss.
The official synopsis reads: “In the hazy aftermath of an unimaginable loss, Sarah (Wilde) and Phil (Wilson) come unhinged, recklessly ignoring the repercussions. Phil starts to lose sight of his morals as Sarah puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations, falling deeper into her own fever dream.”
The fever dream seems to be front and center in the new clip, with Morano’s sensitive camera basking Wilde in an angelic light, despite the fact that her performance suggests a woman way over the edge of a psychological breakdown. Morano’s gorgeous visuals should come as no surprise, as “Meadowland” marks the filmmaker’s first feature after rising on the scene as a celebrated DP (“Kill Your Darlings,” “Frozen River”).
