As some 15 million GoPro camcorder owners share their content daily on social-media like YouTube, San Mateo’s GoPro is looking to encourage even more buzz for its popular brand. It ‘s setting aside $5 million a year to give away every week via its new cash awards. They want you to submit your photos and videos: they’re giving award winners $500 for Best Photo, $1,000 for Top Uncut Video and $5,000 for Best Edited Clip.
Here’s how the GoPro Awards site defines the categories.

A photo is an original, unedited photo file captured by your GoPro.
A raw clip is an original, unedited video captured with your GoPro.
Video edits may include multiple clips, effects, music and more.

There want all content categories, from action, motorsports, sports, animals, science, how-to, travel and adventure to music and family.
