In this first episode of “The Seeso Secret Society,” a web series leading up tot he launch of new comedy streaming platform Seeso, comedians Dave Ahdoot and Ethan Fixell are on a quest to join a secret society of comedians by fulfilling a series of mysterious tasks.
Following an anonymous note, the duo finds that their first job happens to be cleaning the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Los Angeles. Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Ian Roberts and Matt Walsh, the founders of UCB, make an appearance as the mysterious taskmasters, eventually sending the young comedians off to their next job once they’ve adequately tidied up the theater.
Ahdoot and Fixell will star in their own original series on Seeso, “Dave & Ethan: Lovemakers.” Poehler, Roberts, Besser and Walsh are also involved with Seeso through another original series, “The UCB Show.” Seeso itself is set for launch in January of 2016.
