Whether or not Daniel Craig‘s perma-grumpy press tour for “Spectre” will dampen expectations for his latest outing as James Bond, MGM and Sony are hoping to have another billion dollar hit. With the box office for “Skyfall” topping a billion bucks, you can reasonably expect marketing for this film go full throttle for the next few weeks.
Some new TV spots and images provide another peek at the thrills that are on the horizon. As ever, the chatter is also about who will play Bond next, and Craig couldn’t give a shit. “Look, I don’t give a fuck. Good luck to them! All I care about is that if I stop doing these things, we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better. Make it better, that’s all,” he told Time Out London. However, when it comes to baddies, one actress is throwing her hat in the ring.
“One of my goals is to play a villain in a Bond film,” Jessica Chastain told W. “People ask me if I want to be a Bond girl, and I say, ‘No, I want to be the villain.’ I’m waiting for that call!” We hope you get it, Jess.
“Spectre” opens on November 6th.
