Given the bounty of great television to wade through these days, it can be hard to decide whether or not to gamble on something new. Do you really want to sit down with a show only to discover five episodes–– and five hours of your life––later that it’s a dud? Well, before Amazon drops “The Man In The High Castle” they’re giving you a chance to test the waters.
The book-selling streaming service has dropped the first full episode online. Based on the book by Philip K. Dick it takes history and turns it upside, imagining a world where the Axis powers were victorious after World War II, splitting up the United States into three zones, governed by the German and Japanese. As I’ve said before, it’s a delicious premise, and I’ll certainly be carving out an hour to give this a shot.
“The Man In The High Castle” debuts on Amazon on November 20th. [JoBlo]
