There’s less than two months to go until the arrival of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and the anticipation is through the roof following the new trailer that debuted on Monday night. But what’s perhaps most remarkable is that the excitement is predicated on only three-minutes-and-forty seconds of footage. That’s the total combined time of all the material we’ve seen to date in the teaser and trailers. I’d wager a good guess that we may not get much more, and that’s great news for those of us who are hoping not to have the entire movie spoiled before we see it. If you want to take another run through the promos, Science Vs. Cinema has got you covered.
The YouTube team has cut together all the trailers to date into one mega-trailer of sorts, and even for a hardened cynic like me, I can’t deny my hairs were standing up on their end just a little. Granted, J.J. Abrams has always been great at cutting trailers, but one can’t knock anyone for holding out hope that ‘The Force Awakens’ will actually deliver the goods.
So sit back, check out all the footage below, and we’ll see you on December 18th. [Collider]
