Ever since its debut at the Sundance Film Festival, people haven’t stopped talking about “Tangerine.” Sean Baker‘s latest film has been an indie sensation, traveling to festivals around the world, and earning more buzz with each stop. And if you missed its arthouse run earlier this year, we’ve got some copies on the movie on Blu-ray for some lucky readers.
Executive produced by Mark and Jay Duplass, and starring Kitana Kiki Rodriguez, Mya Taylor, and James Ransone, the story is set on Christmas Eve in Tinseltown, where Sin-Dee (Rodriguez) has returned to the neighborhood. Upon hearing that her pimp boyfriend (Ransone) hasn’t been faithful during the 28 days she was locked up, the sex worker and her best friend, Alexandra (Taylor), embark on a mission to get to the bottom of the scandalous rumor. And as you’ll see Baker explain in our exclusive preview of the home video special features, he saw “Tangerine” as an opportunity to explore a world that was just outside his front door.
