Paramount Quietly Opens "Capture The Flag" on Friday

Paramount Pictures is quietly dumping Capture The Flag, a Spanish animated feature from Enrique Gato (Tad, The Explorer), this Friday on two screens in the Los Angeles area. The film will open December 4th at two AMC locations, at Universal Citywalk, and in Arcadia at the Santa Anita 16.  

Inspired by the 1960s space race, the story involves a ruthless billionaire bent on exploiting the source of Helium 3, the clean energy of the future. His plan involves rewriting history to excise the feats of the Apollo XI astronauts and the Moon landing. Enter headstrong 12-year-old surfer, Mike Goldwing, who along with his friends, a small lizard with delusions of Godzilla-like grandeur, and his grandfather, travels to the Moon to thwart evil.

We’ll see if it has the ‘right stuff’ later this week. For now, here’s the trailer:
