In what may be the biggest rom-com news in recent memory, a new trailer has been released for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.” The original “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” released in 2002, is the third highest-grossing independent feature film ever, and along with star Nia Vardalos, almost the entire original cast are returning for the sequel.
In the new sequel, we catch up with the Portokalos family more than a decade after their first big fat family wedding. When a past mistake regarding her parents’ marriage license is revealed, it turns out Nia’s mother and father were never officially married. Now, the whole family must come together again for another big fat Greek wedding. Amidst the familial chaos, Nia and Ian must also deal with their daughter’s desire to go out of state for college and leave her massive family behind.
