Watch: Supercut Highlights Visual Parallels Between 'Mad Max: Fury Road' And The Original Trilogy

George Miller has been keeping us on the edges of our seats for decades now, beginning with “Mad Max” in 1980 and coercing us back into theaters for the most recent segment in the saga, “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Imagination is fleeting nowadays with sequel after sequel and franchise after franchise, but this entire universe was created in Miller’s mind, which, at the very least, deserves accolades for originality. What’s more is he created an almost perfect dystopia, with a band of unforgettable scalawags.

Whoispablo has created a mashup video using shots from the first original “Mad Max”trilogy and juxtaposed them with their twin shots from ‘Fury Road.’ The cars, the symbolic spinning wheels, and the dramatic eye openings of the protagonists (both Mel Gibson and Tom Hardy shined in this role) are just a few of the similarities you’ll see.
