As you may have heard, there has been a glut of good television this year, which some have referred to as Peak TV. Luckily, we have discerning, intelligent critics to sift through the quality to single out the shows worth celebrating and remembering. Vulture TV editor Matt Zoller Seitz has named his ten best TV shows of the year, along with the ten best episodes and performances of the year. Bryan Fuller’s “Hannibal” takes the top spot, and Seitz also stumps for some unrecognized choices like “Rectify” and “Black-ish.” The lists are below.
