In this clip from the documentary “Almost There,” two filmmakers go inside the life of an aging artist living in squalid conditions to lend a helping hand. The filmmakers befriended Peter Anton and shot the documentary over a period of eight years, during which Peter had his first major exhibition and caused controversy in his community.
The film will have its December 5 premiere at Cinema Village in New York City, and will be released at the Siskel Film Center in Chicago and Arena Cinema in Los Angeles on December 11. It will be available on Fandor and Vimeo in the weeks following.
