The Weinstein Company released eight new clips from Quentin Tarantino’s epic three-hour western “The Hateful Eight” this weekend ahead of its release on Christmas. The film will be shown on select theaters retrofitted with 70mm projectors so that it can be shown “properly” before it expands to a nationwide release on January 8.
In this clip featured above, the film’s protagonists are holed up together, finding shelter against a wicked blizzard at a log cabin. Bounty hunter “The Hangman” (Kurt Russell) fears that someone among them is going to help his prisoner Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) escape. The clip showcases the tension between these dangerous characters cooped up in one place, while highlighting the paranoia and suspicion at the heart of the central conflict.
“The Hateful Eight” will be released in select theaters on December 25.
