New films from Lav Diaz (“Norte, The End of History”), Thomas Vinterberg (“Far from the Madding Crowd”), and Mia Mia Hansen-Løve (“Eden”) are among the highlights of the nine titles added to the 2016 Berlinale Competition, joining five previously announced films—including Jeff Nichols’ “Midnight Special,” Alex Gibney’s “Zero Days,” and Michael Grandage’s “Genius.”

The 66th edition of the festival, which will open with the Coen brothers’ “Hail, Caesar!” runs from February 11 to 21. Read the full list of new additions to the competition below.
