READ: Why Newly Formed BOND360 Hates the Term “Self-Distribution”
Industry leader Elizabeth Sheldon has been announced as the new chief operating officer for distributor BOND/360 (of “Deep Web” and “Advanced Style” fame). Sheldon will oversee and expand the company’s prosperous film distribution duties as well as the growing marketing side of the business.
Before joining BOND/360, Sheldon acted as Senior Vice President at the independent film distributor Kino Lorber. While at Kino Lorber, Sheldon was in charge of acquisitions as well as developing businesses within the company, such as the launch of the Alive Mind Cinema branch. The executive has been labeled as one of the “50 Most Powerful People” in the documentary world by POV.
Sheldon said, “I am thrilled to be joining BOND/360 and cannot wait to begin working with the exceptional team that is in place. My acquisition and distribution strategy has always been based on a collaborative approach with filmmakers to develop and execute individually tailored releases. This mindset fits perfectly within the innovative model that has been established at BOND/360.”
Sheldon will have her hands full and have to hit the ground running, as BOND/360 is planning to premiere 10-15 feature films this year in a variety of markets.
