Read More: Toronto Review: Ben Wheatley’s ‘High Rise’ Stars Tom Hiddleston in a Demented Class War
The inventive international marketing campaign for Ben Wheatley’s genre thriller “High Rise” continues today with the release of a subversively graphic new poster. In what looks to be somewhat of a riff on text and iconography of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, the poster gets a disturbing punch to the gut as the reflection of a man jumping out of a high-rise window can be seen reflecting off the roof of a car.
Wheatley’s latest is based on J.G. Ballard’s 1975 sci-fi novel of the same name. Set in a luxurious apartment that houses anything you could think of (think of it like a building version of the train in “Snowpiercer”), the movie deals with the class warfare that breaks out after a series of power outages. Tom Hiddleston leads the ensemble cast, which also includes Elisabeth Moss, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans and Jeremy Irons.
“High Rise” is coming to UK theaters on March 18. U.S. distributor Magnet Releasing has yet to unveil a domestic release date. Check out the new poster art below.
