Variety reports that Javier Bardem is now in negotiations for the male lead role in what sounds like a low-key thriller. According to the trade, the story will revolve around “a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.” Sounds intriguing, to be sure. Meanwhile, the movie has found a big studio, no doubt due to Lawrence’s star power, with Paramount Pictures stepping in to distribute.
Filming will begin this spring, but don’t expect it to be released this year — instead, it’s on the calendar for 2017.
