As part of its presentation at CES 2016, Netflix has released a four-minute sizzle reel showcasing its upcoming drama about the political and personal life of Queen Elizabeth II and her fellow royals.
An epic narrative starring Matt Smith, John Lithgow, Jared Harris, with Claire Foy and Dame Eileen Atkins sharing the role of Her Majesty, there appears to be plenty of juicy drama in store, much of it surrounding the marriage between Elizabeth and Philip (Smith, beloved to British television fans as the 11th Doctor).
Check out the trailer above and some first-look photos below. Written by Peter Morgan and directed by Stephen Daldry, “The Crown” is set to premiere sometime in 2016.
