Take a look inside one of the last remaining abortion clinics in Alabama in the documentary “Trapped,” which will premiering over the weekend at the Sundance Film Festival.
“Trapped” follows June Ayers, owner and director of the Montgomery-based Reproductive Health Services. Like many other abortion clinics operating in the south, Ayers has to deal with severe pressure from several outside forces, whether they be TRAP (or Targeted Regulations of Abortion Providers) laws from state legislature or violent protestors stationed outside the clinic on a daily basis.
Indiewire has a first look at the film, directed by Dawn Porter, which you can check out above. This first clip from the film shows the ever-diligent Ayers comparing her situation with being forced to solve a crossword that you have to invent at the same time.
