In the past few years, Natalie Dormer has fought her way into the popular collective conscious by scoring great supporting roles in massive franchises such as “The Hunger Games” and “Game of Thrones.” But her new movie “The Forest” marks a pivotal moment in her career: Her film debut as a leading lady.
The horror film follows Sara Price (Natalie Dormer) as she heads to Japan’s infamous Aokigahara Forest, where hundreds of people go each year to commit suicide. Sara enters the forest in order to find her sister who has mysteriously disappeared, but once inside she discovers the truth behind her sister’s fate and is confronted by lost souls who roam the forest and prey on unsuspecting victims.
“The Forest” is being released by Gramercy Pictures and will be in theaters January 8. Take a look at the spine-tingling clip above.
