Sundance Selects has acquired U.S. rights to filmmaker Mia Hansen-Løve’s “Things to Come (L’Avenir),’ starring Isabelle
Huppert as a married philosophy professor who must begin a new life when her husband leaves her and her overbearing mother dies. The film world premiered this weekend at the Berlin International Film Festival. TOH! correspondent Demetrios Matheou calls it “a superb portrait of a woman whose response to what many would regard as a crisis is not just refreshing, but rather inspiring.”
Sundance Selects’ second collaboration with production company Films du Losange
on Hansen-Løve’s films, this is also the third of the director’s films to be released by Sundance Selects, following “The Father of My Children” (2009) and “Goodbye First Love” (2011). The deal also reunites the company with
producer Charles Gillibert of CG Cinema.
The deal was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, SVP of
Acquisitions from Sundance Selects/IFC Films, with Films du Losange sales head Berenice Vincent on behalf of the
