Momentum Pictures has announced their acquisition of North American rights to Sean Nalaboff’s feature film debut, “Hard Sell.” The dramatic comedy stars Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Katrina Bowden and Skyler Gisondo.
Set on the Gold Coast of Long Island, “Hard Sell” follows a high school senior Hardy Buchanan (Gisondo) who struggles to support his unstable mom (Chenoweth) and their sick dog. Desperate for quick cash, Hardy enlists the help of Bo (Bowden), a beautiful runaway, and together they devise an
unconventional plan to profit off of the rich and wayward teens at Hardy’s
school. When the students learn that Bo has more to offer than what
meets the eye, the unlikely duo’s
new business takes a unique turn, tossing them headfirst into the
lifestyles of the rich and dysfunctional.
“‘Hard Sell’ is a wonderful coming-of-age story that tackles some very real
questions: How do you balance the abandon of youth with the hardships of
growing up? How much will you
sacrifice and to what ends will you go for family? With the help of a
tremendous cast, Sean has crafted a poignant film that will strike many
emotional chords, often making audiences laugh when they least expect
it,” said Berry Meyerowitz, President of Momentum
“We’re so thankful to have worked with
this amazing group of people on ‘Hard Sell’ we and couldn’t be more excited
to share this story with audiences everywhere. Momentum Pictures is a
perfect fit for the release,” said Nalaboff.
The film was produced by Nalaboff, Jimmy Seargeant and Jared Greenman via Yellow Cote Productions.
Momentum will release the film in the spring of this year.
