As you can see in the tweet above from the film’s Twitter account, Robinne Lee has joined the cast of “Fifty Shades Darker,” the upcoming film directed by James Foley, and written by Niall Leonard, based on the novel of same name by E.L. James. It’s obviously a sequel to last year’s “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The film stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, respectively.
Lee will play Ros Bailey, VP of Grey Enterprises Holdings, Inc., and Christian Grey’s “second in command.” According to the “Fifty Shades” wiki page, Bailey is described as intelligent; can keep up with Christian in conversations, and he is at ease around her. She smokes cigarettes. She is a lesbian; her partner is a “bubbly blonde” named Gwen. She lives almost opposite Christian’s apartment in Escala.
Of course, all of that could change in the translation from pages of the novel, to the screenplay adaptation, to the screen. So little or none of any of the above description is guaranteed to stick.
Principal photography on “Fifty Shades Darker” and its sequel “Fifty Shades Freed” began on February 9, 2016 in Paris and Vancouver.
It is set to be released on February 10, 2017.
